I am pretty much in agreement with the article in that I already had most of the same opinions. The tank isn’t dead and there will always be a need for armor on the modern battlefield.
The author touches on how tanks in future battles will be utilized and used. What I would add would be considered conjecture, but I say it based on past examples and experiences. The U.S has always been about ten years ahead of the rest of the world in terms of military technology. I would suspect that long before drones were weaponized, the U.S was already addressing the threat and may already have ways to defeat them. I don’t know what that technology is (Nor would I say if I did know) But I do know that there are already several technologies which exist that would defeat drones, even the wire guided ones, and it’s possible that it’s already in America’s arsenal, ready to be used when it’s needed.
