Seems like a bit of an unusual choice considering all the possible variants of the ZIL-130 that could be done, especially the more common ones, but it is unique and I’ll probably still buy one.

Whats wrong with having sumthin that’s not common…? I for one get tired of seeing so-called “new releases”, of kits we’ve seen a hundred times…keep ‘em comin…variety is the spice of life…some say…

The ZIL-130 in general is not at all a common kit so any ZIL-130 new release is not something that is seen a hundred times. Other then the 7 AVD offerings to date of the various variants, all we have is the new Zvezda kit (in 1/35 of course, many more options in 1/43). But the APM-90M is limited in its color schemes compared to what can be done with others that still need to be kitted like a tanker version or the ZIL-133 with all its variants (basically an extended ZIL-130 with 3rd axle).
The APM-90M was used in Afghanistan though, so at least there is a bit a military tie-in as well.
