Articulated Lorry 'Suzies'

I am aware that modern articulated lorries are fitted with ‘Suzies’ (pipes/cables that pass from the rear of the tractor unit to the trailer to activate lights and brakes). Is the number of lines (and their function) standard on all lorries in both the UK and abroad? I notice that some photographs show the lines as being different colours, others showing them as all black.

Thanks, Paul

They are “standard”. Two lines per Lorry (LOL). They perform the functions of electrical lines to the trailer and air controls for the braking, air suspension and other functions. to the trailer.
