Studying images of the Australian Army’s proposed AS21 Redback, I note that the periscope lenses do not appear to have laser-protection coating, as seen on many current AFVs. Is this correct? Or is the characteristic shifting colour obscured by shadow?

After my extensive research with periscope colors, I’ve come to the conclusion that periscopes are either black, or prismatic with anti laser coating (so long as hatches are closed). And if a photo shows that they’re black, they’re probably just black…
Like for example in the Abrams, you can see the periscopes are reddish-orange, so they’re coated.
I’d say look for more pictures for more angles if possible, and then if you don’t see any prismatic shades, just go with transparent black for the periscopes
