Miniarm announced a full resin kit in 1/35 scale depicting Russian ATV Quad Bike AM-1, together with the driver and accessories.
Certainly looks unique and well crafted.
But what is it used for in the Russian military—special forces or liaison?
I’m pretty sure it’s used by SOF as I’ve seen a video of them using quads in Ukraine- not sure if it was this model though. Might also be used in a light utility role too- I think some of these modern military quads can tow small trailers.
I remember eons ago… 80s-90s … the security guys at Edwards AFB had quads (Honda or Kawasaki?) with mounts for M60 mgs for base security patrols. Something akin to this.
Airfix makes a 1/48 Brit Army quad set. 2 quads, two trailers. They used them in Iraq and Afghanistan for logistics support … ammo, water, food hauling.
Bronco, MAK models also make quads (Brit Yamaha 450s) and Live Resin makes the US Polaris and a bunch of loads and riders. Anybody besides Airfix make quads in 1/48?
