Austin armored car 1918

Hello
Here my latest finished diorama: an Austin in north of France during the collapse of german lines in september 1918.
I rarely work on subjects that are before 1945, a good way to do “from the boxes” models. The Miniart kit is just fantastic with tons of details!

Great late war scene Stephane- the Austin is a beauty with that lovely dash of color from the recognition markings and it’s weathered beautifully- the way you have the dust and dirt coming up the chassis is so well observed. Top notch figures too that help to tell the story.

Wonderfully done! Whose German figures did you use?

Thanks for the comments guys.
The figures are all from Masterbox sets with Hornet heads. The germans pows are from the same set with the two tommies, the british officer is from another set.
The problem was to find colour pictures of the uniforms since i’m not specialist of the WW1 (nor WW2).

I like the greenish tinge of the German uniforms. I have used Humbrol field grey for WW1 Germans but it is really just…grey.

From memory i used Humbrol 86 in their acrylic range for the germans uniforms.

it looks cool
