Angles not quite right…

FWIW my spare wheel is just sitting there. Needs to be moved up a bit.

Blue: 4 bolts holding down
Red: frame or plate which
Green: isn’t laying flat against turret roof

Greens: Angle between links
Red: Lower attachment is further out than the upper, to make room for the
angle between the links

Robin my tracks do kick out at the bottom. I put a strip of styrene under them. My photos just don’t show it well.
Guys keep in mind I want to learn as much as possible. ALL the information is very much appreciated. However I’m not building a museum piece. So you’ll have to forgive me if I cut some corners.

Your project, your rules. Though I think your capturing the intent well. :+1:

Poor driver. He is either going to get slightly wet to real wet and that inside will never be truly clean until it goes back to Ohio for a rebuild.

That driver is probably praying for tight seals

Even without technical tight seals, you can pressurize the interior but that help is probably lost with bubba hanging out the top.

Not really, the overpressure system is under water, and hopefully was sealed up before hand; so it is not usable.

They’re aren’t so much worried about keeping the water out but more the crocodiles up north!

When I did my kit,I persevered and got the tracks together and painted, but they were do fragile they wouldnt stay together as I tried to install them,I finally went with AFV Club trscks, much sturdier.

My Meng T-90 tracks worked well though.

Your build is coming out great though, its a resl nice kit.

Shout out to Custom Hobby Decals. Yesterday I ordered a set of Australian m1a1 decals. 24 hours later I have them in my hand. Great service. https://customhobbydecals.com/product-category/military/australia-military/

Interestingly, they do a set of decals for the fish cam mud scheme!

Yes. very tempting.

Update.

OK almost done priming. First time I’ve used AK primer. (3rd generation). First impressions of AK primer are very positive. None of the fighting with the air gun like I had with Mig Ammo primers. Yes the AK is thin and takes a LOT of coats to cover. Seems to self level very well. A few places seemed dry and some places I got it too wet. But five minutes later i couldn’t tell which was which. Even then I still have transparent bits and pieces. I’m debating going back over with a few more coats or ignoring them and hitting them with the first colour. Around the suspension I missed but a top coat and dirt may get me out of trouble. Then again I hate a job not done well. No tip drying with the AK primer. Yippee. Clean up was way easier.
