Avenger AN/TWQ-1 from AFV Club | Armorama™

Yup! Kinda like if were to replace the kit TOW launcher on my ancient AMT/ESCI M966 with the proper one from the AFV Club set that has the AN/TAS-4A thermal sight.

So it seems the Avenger system although not entirely dead, is simply re-born. Sort of like Frankenstein’s monster. Is that a Trophy array on the JLTV?

No, the hexagonal panels are RADA radars.

MADIS incorporates kinetic and electronic warfare systems to combat drones and enemy aerial targets. It has two Stingers (or Coyote C-UAS missiles, or Javelin ATGM, or APKWS rocket pod on a Moog RiWP turret) and a 30mm autocannon with 7.62mm COAX. So six fewer Stinger missiles than Avenger, but a much larger caliber gun than the Avenger’s 12.7mm M3 heavy machine gun because the 30mm shells can airburst against enemy drones.

I would highly assume that MADIS can also engage ground targets with Javelin and its 30mm autocannon and COAX.

Thank you for that one, Kylie… I was hoping this would follow the announcement.

With a new HMMWV base on the horizon, can we hope for some HMMWV´s from AFV Club?

Improving the Esci is a Hercules task and not worth any effort.

Well, it’s been in my stash for years, and this would be a quick easy fix to the turret situation. It’s a gap in my collection to be filled.

Track-link.com. and I’d really like to see AFV Club do an Aussie 6 wheeler M113A1AS some time.

What should really excite modelers are the new AUSA 2025 turrets from Moog for the two-door HMMWV from AFV-Club.
