Interesting: the number 16 has been issued to another subject before:

And the B-24 had another number before:

I asked Mr Roszak about the numbering and he wrote back:

All those original books, the 60+ volumes in the Detail & Scale Series and the 24 volumes of the Colors & Markings Series were all long out of print when we restarted the company in late 2013 so we just started numbering at the beginning.

I hope that helps people orient the new publications with the previous ones.

At the IPMS USA Nationals earlier this month, the dude from Lone Star Models had a table. He was displaying his resin Privateer conversion for the 1/48 B-24. Very imporessive I must say. If anyone is interested in doing one, he is, contrary to rumors in the past, still in business.

Alas, the is little demand for a C-87 conversion, so I’m left to my own devices on that one.

Fortunately, he has resumed the business after some stops and starts the past several years. From what I’ve gathered from his Facebook page ( I haven’t checked his website for a couple of months but there’s been some problems with it ) he is so busy trying to feel what orders have already been placed and to prepare for the ipms shows, that he just doesn’t have much time for anything else. I do plan to place an order with him soon though.
