For a new diorama project, I builed a bamboo hut. The material was bamboo, wire, brush bristles and cardboard. The idea for the hut, I saw in an youtube video.
The sampan and the boat are from Verlinden and Paracel Miniatures.
At the sampan, the motor needs his metal color. Also some bamboo sticks at the sides are missing. They not finish. The bamboo roof, I changed from plastic to a piece from an old bamboo beach mat.
The bamboo hut.

very interesting, if you want do it in vietnm war era remender to add an engine at your boats
Before I start with the ground work, just a test placement with the hut, boats and elephants.
The elephants not ready yet. The bamboo cage is for two POWs.

Did the VC typically use elephants? I know they were, and are still, used in northern Cambodia (as well as elsewhere in Cambodia but only as a tourist attraction), and Laos - Thailand too, but that is irrelevant here.

Yes, they use elephants. Primary for transporting heavy supplies, ammunition, and artillery, especially along the difficult terrain of the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Possibly in the first Indochina war with the French, but have never seen pictures of their use later on as trucks, bicycles and manpower were more normal. Wayne

I should have checked with Google before forming opinions:

Superb work, so much detail (natural and man-made) to enjoy. The water looks suitably murky, what did you use?

Thanks a lot. For the water I used epoxy resin. It’s a 1:1 resin, for simple use.
The resin dind’t stink and it’s good and easy to use.
For the green color, I used MIG medium olive.
When resin is finished, I put the color in and mix it again.
And the resin is very cheap. I ordered it from Ali Express.
