"Band" Tracks for Leopard 2, etc

Richard, these are actually by or from company called ZS Model that I found on eBay last year which unfortunately seems to have gone away. I ordered one set to get a look at them, then ordered three more sets plus a Challenger 1set. All are exquisite with no broken links or bad prints.

I wish I had purchased more.

Indi links are the bane of my life but very necessary in some cases as long as they’re styrene and gluable, the Friuls I used for my Warrior build nearly finished me off. I’d rather push red hot chestnuts up my hoop than use Friuls again!!

There are some Friuls that I can deal with, bigger links like for modern MBT’s, but the ones I did for a Tamiya Cromwell tested my patience. Oddly, glueable plastic indie links are always replaced on my models. I’d rather drink vinegar.

I never built that kit, not when it was ESCI nor in its Italeri guise. If I would have the urge to build an Sd.Kfz. 10 I would get the Dragon kit instead, though.

I’ll use them, but only if I can spray the whole undercarriage in the same mud colour  The reason I prefer workable tracks nowadays is because I can fit them after painting.

I recall a Leopard or Challenger tank kit I had, around 2003-2005, that had individual links with nubs, that you then pressed on vinyl end caps (5 or ten at a time, the cut off the sprue). Maybe a center joint as well?
