All of Red Squadron together:
Moving along on the next one in the queue. General Antoc Merrick in Rogue One.
SMS White over Mr Surfacer 1500 Gray. SMS Haze Gray on several panels and the other panel colors are mixes of SMS paints to get what I was looking for. The fuselage and wing markings are Gravity Ford Grabber Blue, a little lighter than I was hoping for based on the test shot I had done, but not bad.
Penciled in panel lines in progress
Next step will be Tamiya PLAC in black and brown in the areas too busy for pencil.
Been working on a different scheme than usually seen, a T-65 X-Wing done as Ralph McQuarrie’s concept art. The wing tip cannons have been rotated 90 degrees to match what is in the drawing.
This one will be stark white when does as the drawing does not depict any weathering.
Sorry for the poor quality pictures, didn’t realize the setting knob changed.
May the Fourth be with you.
Instead of watching the marathons of SW on today, went down to the workshop and finished this one off. No weathering or even panel lines, just a clean build as in the Ralph McQuarrie art. As noted above the cannons are rotated to horizontal.
And with this, all ten of the Bandai T-65 X-Wings are completed.
Someone gave me two of the T-70s from those films that were made by the mouse house folks. I will do one as the original concept model similar to the one above. Not sure what to do with the other yet.
