Bat-1

Yes, that’s right, I didn’t think of that right away. The traction devices were originally used for AT-T missiles. They were also used for heavy guns. Thanks for the tip.

Well, a 1:35 scale SS-4 might be a bit unwieldy for the display tables, but I’d accept a 1:35 S-23 180mm howitzer; that would be a winning combination I’m sure:

I agree with you, that would be a case for you. It would be an interesting model. It’s out of the question for me, as I only build GSSD vehicles in Germany.

Thanks for correction.

Will you build the dozer blade from scratch? I am also interested in building a BAT-1.

Being 22 meters in length, this would equal in 630 mm in scale.

Hello HermannB, yes I built the dozer blade myself and it was also made movable. I’ll get to that point later, I wanted to deal with the base vehicle first. The cable guide to the cable winch was also a real challenge for me.

Here are some photos of the original BAT-1 dozer blade. The cable guide is clearly visible.

Outstanding build. Fine detail and excellent scratchbuilding. Excellent model.

So do I now!

This is a great thread Joachim and your model has turned out looking good.

Like Brian, I’d love to do one towing something BIG!

I’d better pipe down Terry; after all, I’ve still got the Scrooge to tackle! That’s probably big enough.
