Actually, that pose is from a poster of one of Schwarzenegger’s Conan movies. Sort of, but not quite, this one:

Oh boy that Snake is impressive- really top drawer painting on it- it just immediately catches your eye and the scale of it looming over Arnold is awesome. You’ve painted Arnold pretty damn well too!

Something unique and different and really looks the part.
The snakeskin looks amazing as does the shading and shadows on Conan’s flesh. I think you did an amazing job!

First pic is actually titled, Serpent. It is in book 3 of the Frazetta art series by Ballantine from 1979. The middle pic of the fellow with the bloody sword was used as the cover of Robert E. Howard’s collection of shorts entitled, ‘Wolfshead’. Published by Lancer and of which I have a copy. These were stories along the lines of the Conan books but not directly featuring Conan.
The last pic is the cover of the Lancer edition of Conan the Usurper, released in 1971. It is also on the Sphere edition which was the one released in the U.K. I have a copy of both.
So all three of those images are in my room with me at this moment.

Thanks. I am using acrylics (Citadel, and Vallejo) thinned a lot, and mixed with retarder, then applied wet on wet. A really BIG improvement over dry-brushing! I even impressed myself!
