Sloe but steady, fuselage together.

I added the cowl parts and exhausts. Now the “unfun” part of filling the lines not used on the K-4. I wished Fujimi would make separate parts for each sub type. I am willing to pay extra to save my fingers and sanity.

I read when on the ground static the small outer doors on the outer side of the wheel wells were closed. I gave the Fujimi ones a test fit.

I did some research and it looks like the small doors can’t be closed as they are mechanically operated. So I removed them and will add them in the open position as my subject had them until the end of the war. I filled the holes next to them on the wing for the rocket pods that I won’t use.

Thanks for posting. I really like this kit - it was so cool 40 years ago. Trying to find another one. Just recently I described it to the folks on another site.

I will be watching.

Thanks Fred. here is another Fujimi, recently repopped by KA. It’s a Bf109G10 or supposedly some say a G-14AS. I did it as Red 2, Rita.

I have the gun sight and armor headrest added to the canopy and the canopy all closed up.

I just sprayed the bottom and sides of fuselage a greenish yellow color. I think it was RLM 99. It is on the chart below on the right bottom corner.

Almost done masking wing bottom section for aluminum paint.

The aluminum is done,RLM 76 next.

The RLM 76 is done, that completes the bottom colors.

I still think this Fujimi model is worth building. Red 2 looks great. Love the unusual mix-n-match finish of late war Luftwaffe planes.
