This takes the “I” out of A.I.; that or it now stands for “Imbecility”…

I love that this is possible and we are just getting started in terms of possible computational power.

When they show your wife footage of you out having an intimate time with a strange woman, will you still love the computational power?

The problem will be when one political party creates something to cause chaos. We are close. That will be done to cause you to lose faith in what is shown. When that happens, you will fail to believe the truth when it is shown. Those that control the narrative….

It is difficult to believe that this much effort would be done on a topic that would attract few viewers. Or, does that mean it has become so easy that it was almost no effort?

It is obvious that the creator had knowledge about recovering and restoring vehicles of this type. However, why they created their own tank design when the Panther design/ shape (from the title) is so well known is a mystery. I am guessing this is of eastern European design because they do recover WW2 vehicles from rivers and lakes and this doesn’t happen in other places.

Well there is 16 minutes of my life that I wasted and will never get back.

Talking about AI crap, here are two pics I came across on Facebook while looking for USMC trucks in Vietnam…

At first I missed the one-legged trooper…

I always wondered why people create such content? Just to get clicks?

That gets into a really interesting set of problems explored in the cyberpunk genre of science fiction. Spoofing is already a major issue and will get much worse. For example, I can envision a future where all audio recordings and video footage is deemed untrustworthy and only human testimony is admissible in a court of law, in some ways taking us back to a time before the invention of audio devices and cameras.

I am hopeful that the good things computational power will unlock far surpass the bad.

Clicks/Views on YouTube means money,
A very small amount per click but millions of clicks still generate an income.

Lots of people watch videos with cute pets, A.I. is moving into that niche since
there are so many potential viewers.
Advertisers pay YouTube to show ads, YouTube passes on a small amount of that
to the video creator (lots of criterias and conditions),.
We, the sheep, sit there and watch it. The task for the video creator is to bring in
as many sheep as possible.

Baahh, baahh

So this does mean that the users of “social networks” are becoming stupid? Fortunatly I am not social networking.

I don’t think so. I think the level of stupidity is constant.
If there is no faked content the stupid will watch true content.
If there is 100% faked content the stupid will only watch faked content.

But:
Some researchers claim that if people start using AI to produce text (for school assignments, reports at work etc) then they will eventually lose their ability to produce text on their own.
Use escalators and lifts and lose the muscle power to go up stairs …

we’ve already done this in the UK, as it was impossible to tell if Rishi Sunak our former prime minster was a human or A.I. generated

We used to joke about one of our earlier prime ministers that his charisma was so bland that he had to be escorted by bodyguards to trigger automatic doors …

Yes.
One or more entities are definitely turning our time into their cash.

I foresee the internet and AI destroying itself, because of this kind of nonsense. Trust will evaporate.

Those that are not entirely braindead will move away, perhaps even reconnect in real life. Those that buy into this slop are not worth one’s time anyway.
