FoxHopp Models released a conversion for Trumpeter's BRDM-2.
This is a potentially cool conversion, but you’d have to fix a lot of mistakes. The most noticeable thing right off - the bolts are too large. You’d have to sand them off and add smaller ones. No big deal because… every single panel on the left side of the vehicle has the bolts in the wrong pattern or location and/or too many bolts.
The shape of the left side panels themselves is definitely off on most or all of them.
And lastly, whether by design or the builder’s inattentiveness, the side armor plates angle outward at the top in reality, but on the model they do not.
This was not well done at all.
Maybe Euan Angus is reading this and can make corrections?
We can only hope. All he has to do is look at his own references to see how off everything is. Looking at it again, the proportions on the upper side armor are really off.
Since I don’t know if he looks at this site, I emailed him. The guy who built the model also attached the left side hatch upside down. With a little work and attention to detail this could be a worthwhile set.
Niggles notwithstanding it does prove the point that if someone scratches something then a kit or upgrade will inevitably appear.
