Bronco go out on a limb, 1/24 scale AAA

both the scale and the subject are interesting and I wonder how long it will last; not 1/35, not 1/16, not a lot of support by way of figures and vehicles, but hay, I hope it works.

Perhaps they’d somehow pair well with 1/24 aircraft.

Interesting release with scale and subject. I had actually thought they had closed up shop.

I wish it was 1/35.

1/24 scale aircraft of a particular era, or cars

And figures,

Don’t forget that Tasca released some 1/24 kits, the PzKpfw II Ausf.F (2 versions) and a Zundapp KS750 and there were a few figures available at the time. While the boxart is shown as being in Vietnam (I presume), it is a Russian M1939 gun so could be pared with the Tasca kits.

My Tasca kit finished years ago with figures from the now defunct Manta Figurines:

1/24 Armor is an underused concept.

Can anyone explain the red star tally on the shield? Seems like they shot down 10 of their own aircraft…?

I’m guessing it’s depicting a Chinese gun, either from the Soviet-Chinese conflict in 1968 or maybe the 1979 Sino-Vietnam War and the red stars are designating Vietnamese aircraft.

Scalemates is now showing new entries for two older Bronco models, 105mm lefH 18 Gw.39H(f) & Großer Funk Pz.Kpfw.38H 735(f) and 75mm SP Pz.Kfw.39H(f) & Großer Funk Pz.Kpfw.38H 735(f). Last year, Bronco released a new variant of the Krupp Protze.

I was going to purchase the new Prozte but it never showed up at any of the online model shops in the United States.

Ah ha! The new Prozte is available on eBay from China.
