Well I am going to try something a little different this time.
I will be doing a build on Trumpeters 1/16th Leopard 2A6 while comparing it to the Das Werk Leopard 2A7V2 Kit. The Picture Numbering on the Trumpeter kit will be Yellow while the other will be the usual Black or White numbers.
First the Kit Boxes.
Continuing on, Now it is the Torsion Bars, I think that Trumpeters are more detailed and have a loose Wheel axle so it can be installed with the wheels. The Das Werks have backs on them while Trumpeters don’t. I don’t know which is correct.
First the Trumpeter parts.
I haven’t posted all the Pics. on the Das Werk build, that would be too complicated. Cceck the build posted here if you want more detail.

Donald
Do you mean blogging all of your 1\16 builds?
ABSOLUTELY!
You are the only modeler on this site that consistently does this. Plus you’re working in 1\16, a scale many of us aspire to but cannot own. I live vicariously through your blogs, as I don’t have the room for 1\16 and I can’t afford the kits on a regular basis. You’re building a lot of kits I would love to have, but would never see if it were not for you.
You’re a regular on this site and I check your posts every day. You can tell form the views and likes that others do too.
Keep cranking them out Donald and we’ll kep following you!
Wait until you see what’s coming. This kit has a partial interior, unfortunately most of it probably can’t be seen.
More stuff coming tomorrow morning.

Bolt heads on the DW and the grilles look better defined it looks like DW has a higher part count to allow things like hinges to be better defined. Trumpeter has the upper hand on ease of assembly?
Honestly at this scale all track idlers should have adjustment in my opinion.
The comparison is good and may help someone decide which to go for if they are undecided.
This finishes what there is of the interior, The Das Werk Kit has no interior at all. It looks like eventually Trumpeter will release another kit with an engine and the rest of the interior.
I’ll be working on the upper part of the hull next.

One big Leo 1/16th is good.. but you’re building two…side-by-side.. also it’s a great joy ride for us seeing it step by step, and seeing how you tackle those kits.
You Misunderstand, The Das Werk one was completed Months ago.
I have just been posting some of its Pictures along with this build as I go to illustrate as I go some of the similarities, and differences in the Kits.
If any would like to view the whole Das Work Build,it is available on this web site, you will just have to do a search for it.

Donald
It’s hard comparing these two kits as I am doing it slightly different this time.
For a complete look at the Das Werk build, go to forums and do a search on the 1/16th. builds.

Just a little more done.
There are a lot of openable spots on this kit, Unfortunately if you want to use them you need to do a lot of scratch building. Removing hold downs and re positing them. Then in the open position they interfere with other parts .I’m not going there.
I do not know how much more of this I will be able to do.
I haven’t been feeling very good lately and I’m not shure that I will wake up tomorrow morning.
