Donald (and others) not wanting to hijack Don’s great build. Obviously I’m able to access these pages via “Kit Maker” but I don’t seem to be able to access Armorama directly. (??), (I’m sure it’s the operator-me!)
I’ve requested a change pswd link - pending?
Meanwhile my question: Does anybody have any info/insight regarding a 3D printer in China: SSModel? They list a broad array of kit, printed on demand, I’m interested in a 1/16th scale US M42 Duster. Just looking for anyone w/ knowledge of this vender, their kits.
TIA & Happy New Year. (May it be better to us all)

I think the two parts on the left of 193 are chocks to prevent rolling when parked. Not certain but I think it makes sense.

If you do some searching on the major sites - Armorama, Missing Lynx and Track Link, you will find may comments on SS Model. Generally, mixed reviews, some good, but many also bad. It really depends on exact kit and the expectations of the builder. Based on all the comments I’ve read, I’ve hesitated purchasing anything from them, despite have much interest in a number of their items. Here’s one “review”:

This has nothing to do with the Build subject, You have a whole section for complaints, so please delete this.

Great job Donald, those chains look very tedious.

Just finished the Camo, it is very difficult as a lot of the paint areas in the print don’t line up.
This is all mostly Guess Work so don’t take it as fully accurate.
Now I have a lot of small parts to add and then the final detailing.
This may take another couple of weeks.

Nicely done Donald……always great to see & follow your builds. You must live in a warehouse, to have room to store/display all your wonderful 1/16th scale builds. Perhaps you could include a couple fo photos of your displays, when you start your new Tiger w/the 105mm gun. Looking forward to it.
Best regards for the new year. LAC.

I have the Tow Cables installed, I used the ones from the kit.
The ends of the Cable ends will need drilling to fit the Cables.
Now a lot of Detail Painting to do.

Well I’m finally finished here, Here are the final pictures.
Just some thoughts,
This is a really nice kit and very detailed.
You will need a strong shelf to hold it as it is quite heavy.
The part I liked best was the Track being molded in a Grey Metallic plastic, this saves having to paint them, except for the Track pads which were molded Grey.
I think it would have been better to mold them Black tike the tires.
If you are choosing between this kit and the DasWerk kit, they are very similar I would choose this kit. I have both built here on Armmorama.

Your Leopard builds were a HUGE help to me in my building those 2 as were your other 1/16 builds! Thank you!

Your Welcome.
Here’s a hint to make cutting the Tow Cable to Length,
After measuring and marking the cable to length apply super glue to the place where you want to cut. After it sets up solid place a sharp exacto or other blade on the spot and roll the cable keeping the blade in contact with the cable while pressing down.
Just roll it back and forth until you get it cut.
