Building a Israeli D9R Armored Bulldozer (New Build)

Now for something a little different.
I have a Photo-Etch set for the interior , don’t know how much of it will be visible.

There have been some improvements in this kit over the older one , the first one is the metal tubing for the Hydraulic pistons (NICE)
Here’s a Pic from my previous build , note the plastic pistons.

I’m finished for today

Looks like it is coming along well. This may be helpful for tightening/adjusting the tracks.

By now you should have excellent photo reference since 7 Oct '23.

nice work, as per the interior etch go for it if you’re up for it I know you would know it and one of the rivit counting judges might pull out his little mirror to see it. But the important thing is how you feel about doing it.
Enjoy yourself that’s why they made it

I did the Running Gear and Tracks next , This way if I screwed it up I don’t have a lot of work invested in it.
I’m happy to say as far as I can say it came out Excellently
Here’s how I did it.

This can all be disassembled for painting.

I finally have a little more finished.
The interior is very crowded and you won’t be able to see much of it due to the colored windows and the Bar Armor.

Ready for the Bar Armor.

I’m finished for a while.

Donald, you’re doing a great job! Would love to do one but really not sure I could do it any justice. Can’t wait to see yours done, it’s impressive so far.

Best,

Well I finished it , here are the finish Pics.

Well I’m glad that’s done , the Bar Armor was tough getting it on.
I’m still not quite happy with it but it is what it is.

This is what happens when you give a 19 yr old a D9R and orders to clear the streets of cars that could possibly be IED’s or hiding tunnel systems
No parking is no problem with a D9R…
