Building an FV4005 from a Centurion chassis + a turret

Some interesting views. Subtitles are so-so, the music/soundtrack might not be to everyones liking (not mine at least …).
I got the imperession that the chassis wasn’t an original FV4005 so it had to be modified slightly (same as when the FV4005 was produced). The stabilising blade had to be manufactured from original drawings. At the end there is some interesting track behaviour which most judges at a model competition would have issues with (make a screen copy and use as evidence, hint hint, wink wink). The still image below is from the producers of the video, don’t know why they decided to manipulate it, one roadwheel is AWOL, the guy is not extremely short, the running gear looks like warhammer, just ignore that hideous image.

When they aligned the mantlet I thought it would be great to use a spud wrench. And they did! Haven’t even seen one since my oil refinery days…
I’m inspired again - not the same but I should finish this one someday soon:

Ok the tracks are to loose reason tracks were tight before turret fitted and not retightened afterwards.
4 links on the deck like that with 19 threads on front track adjuster means take a track link out. He is also steering it very violently not gently .
It is to easy to throw a track when the tracks are that loose.
Track tension should be done on hard surfaces.
Only time you run slack track like that is:-
1 maintance about to change track on hard surface.
2 bridgelayer you are about to launch the bridge because has bridge comes vertical the tracks will go like a bow string when launched.
3 about to launch a fascine off the front of a AVRE.
4 also fully loaded with Ammo can change the track tension. But not this slack

Basically bad track maintenance.
Centurion is a hard to drive seven ways to change gear alone and you have to make sure you’re in the right gear for the right ground you’re about to approach. Loved driving centurion .

I have watched a few of this guys rebuilds and salvage jobs on YouTube… Some were quiet good and it was nice to see vehicles I used get a new lease of life.
I did get a bit bored mainly due to how they act and at times a bit of lack of respect for the vehicles … they treat some like toys, use recovery vehicles incorrectly and dangerously and generally a r s e around a bit to much. The dark haired guy lifting the pack out is a 12 out 10 on the annoying scale … And bearing in mind their ages, they talk like they have been on these wagons all their lives … Be interesting to see where the main guy got his money from… As buying and restoring them isn’t cheap …

Engine deck handles wrong place because only 1inch gap between turret an decks
Handles are on the ends of the decks.
no gun rail around engine or gear box decks
gear box decks had handles that laid flat against deck
