Looking at pictures, the PE cage between the hatches shouldn’t be attached to the larger base plate. The vertical legs of the PE part should be straight and attached to the smaller diameter part.

I was trying not to look to closely at that as I think I can’t get the PE off now.

I’ve also noticed that most of the “in-service” vehicles do not seem carry the ballistic radar mounted on the mantlet or the IFF antenna. They all appear to have the mounting points for these items though.
