As I am building a Sherman too, may I ask where you get the straps for the tools?

The Straps are strips of 1.5mm. Led foil, If you can’t find led foil you can get some premade strips from SPRUE BROTHERS it is in their Metal / Materials section Just look for the ASK Brand Item 200-T0077 Lead Wire Flat 0.2X1.5 mm. There are 10 pieces about 140mm. long. The price is relatively cheep about $3.59 U.S.
The Buckles I made from Very thin solder wrapped around a piece of 2mm by 2mm square tubing.
Hope this helps
Donald

I just checked it is still available

To find it go to spruebrothers.com
On main page
Scrole down to Tools and Supplys
Go to right to Stock Styrine and metal click there.
Then Scrole down 8 rows to ASKT0077
Easy to find if you want it.

Excellent advice Donald that stuff looks perfect for straps, great tip, thank you.

Sorry was late and missed this one, beautiful work!

Heads up for anyone that wants one of these right now, Andy has them marked down to $99 for Memorial Day weekend! LOL, I wasn’t even trying to get another one of these as I already have the earlier release. But I was shopping for the soldier figure that comes with this kit and then I noticed that the kit was marked way down. The figure costs $22 by itself so I figured I might as well get the tank too for an additional $77;)

Just getting ready to start mine, this info is very handy thanks for the detailed instructions,as the kit’s aren’t real detailed about the tracks.
