Building the 1/16th. Pakwagen from Das-Werk

Today I was working on the front Engine cover. I’m doing the Late version, and this is what I have found out.

It looks simple enough yes? Well actually it isn’t, If you use the engine you’ll never see it again, The front parts were warped and this is whad I did to fix it.

I clamped and glued the front brace inside, it really didn’t matter.

This still left me with this.

Finished for now.

Today it’s the Torsion Bar arms and road Wheels.

I started with the Right Rear, inserting the Bar and applying liquid glue through the tiny hole that I drilled earlier. The to the Left- back and forth till i got to the final one
the final glue hole. (Hey it works, and I couldn’t think of any other way to glue them in.

The Wheels I glued in place because the holder caps are way too tiny to glue them on without getting glue on the Wheels any way.

I’m not going to be rolling it around anyway

Now the Front Wheels.

I’ll be working on the Track next.

Install of the AMMO.

I didn’t paint the AMMO, when installed all that you can see of it is the ends.

Of note, My references say there should be 22 rounds of AMMO The kit gives you 20 , but there is only stowage room for 17. the count is off some where.

I removed the doors to the AMMO Stowage Bins, they just get in the way.
i think that the Crew on real vehicles would have removed them too.

Now to finish this.

I would recomend this kit over the Trumpeter offering , it has better fit, more detail, a Metal Gun Barrel and the correct Ammo.
I’ll try to revive the Trumpeter Build so you can compare the kits yourself.

If you want one of these Vehicles, this is the one to get , it has a lot more than the Trumpeter Kit and is about half the price
