Some details on the M48: I have used FC Model Trend’s excellent stowage locker handles to replace the kit moulded-on blobs; I would highly recommend these for any US model that has them - in my opinion they really make a difference:

‘Been cracking on at a phenomenal rate by my standards; quite a busy kit with all the extras the Bundeswehr added, but still a way to go. Ignore the glue splodges etc - my normal way of working(!)

A brief update – chains on the smoke dischargers; inevitably overscale but far better than nothing. I personally think that this is an important future on say, Leopards, or indeed, any Bundeswehr vehicle which has this type ie this M48 version. It’s fiddly to say the least, but again, in my opinion, worth it, bordering on the essential:
Also visible is the searchlight cable; I thought the kit one was a bit weedy, so replaced it with some lead wire:

Chugging along nicely Brian.Im looking forward to doing some nets on a Leopard.I always think nets on Leopards and Chieftains etc set the builds off a treat.
