Burma Jungle Ravine

I think the original was a bit coarse in texture and bright. The new version looks spot on! And of course you’d have some background music going. May I recommend;

Chosen as it’s something that won’t impact your moss….

The replacement looks more like grass, or hair growing on the original  . I prefer the original moss structure wise. Colour wise I like the second iteration best…

Thanks Sam, I think that’s the first time I’ve had a post serenaded, :winking_face_with_tongue: .

If only growing hair was that easy Erwin, it’d solve my thatchless challenge,.

It probably does need a bit of a clean-up, :slightly_smiling_face:.

First moss is a bit bright in certain aspects, but it can show up as bright in a constantly damp environment but in this scale is is looking maybe a tad to course ?. The replacement is a nice colour, but looks a bit to hairy and long strands coming through ?

It’s looking great.

If I was hiking and came across the original moss I’d think I’d discovered a previously unknown piece of flora. If I came across the amended moss I would only be surprised by slipping on the slime & knocking myself out.:+1::+1:

Hi all,

Slow progress at the moment, phase 2 of real building works on the house is under way, and it’s a tad chaotic here,.

I’ve been playing around, making and adding some vines that tumble down the rockface, and also white water tumbling over the streambed,.

Comments, positive and negative, always welcome, :slightly_smiling_face:.

Cheers, :beer_mug:,

I think the guiding principle for a faithful scale model reproduction of a scene is when you zoom in and it still looks like a 1:1 photo. That’s what you’ve got here!

Lovely mix of coloured moss and vegetation whilst the white water is excellent!

Hi all,

A tad more progress on the white water, :slightly_smiling_face:.

Once I’ve built up this first layer I intend to coat it with clear gloss varnish.

Cheers, :beer_mug:,
