New Civil and Military Bedford trucks
Excellent news!
I was planning to use the 1/24 kits (4 different ones) by Emhar as templates for conversions/scratch (dreaming is free, almost …) and now it becomes more feasible (still a dream but somewhat more realistic)
In case anyone wonders why two of the trucks/lorrys are extremely similar:
The OSAT/OSBT are tippers (dump trucks), T for tipper I guess.
I could have misunderstood but I believe the difference between OSA and OSB is the payload rating. Don’t know if this causes any externally visible difference (springs? axles?)

Hurrah! CAMs is back! If these trucks are as good as their 6 tonners and tankettes, these will be perfect gems!
Hurrah! I’ll have some of those!
Pleasd tell me more about the CAMS 6Tonners
Well Jon CAMs produces a series of Carden - Lloyd 6 tonner tanks, about 5 of them. They are of several varieties, depending on who they were exported to, and if they are an interior kit or not. They have Poland, China, Netherlands, and several others.
You can tell the kits are superb as soon as you open the box. The finesse in molding is noticeable. The detail is sharp and crisp. The engineering is incredible. Flat hull parts fit together with no putty needed in the entire kit. Everything fits perfectly. The interiors are complete and beautiful. Every one builds into a stunnong little model.
At last, I’ll have to get a couple or six.
There are helpers in the rear suspensions in OSB.
Thanks!!
Welcome aboard
I had forgotten about the tankettes.
But looking forward the the Bedford tintops
Sorry Jon, they are Vickers 6 tonners.
Welcome to Armorama Terance! Have a fun time on the forums.
Thanks for you and Uncle-Heavy’s warm welcome.
Excellent!
Why CAMs is not very active in the market? Simply CAMs is not set up for scale modeling business.
CAMs create kits that captivate the attention of modelers to narrate the stories of historical events, such as discussing the underappreciated troop, the Chinese National Revolutionary Army, in the VCL amphibious tank and the Vickers 6 tonner model kits.
The kit serves as a guide to lead you to the pamphlet enclosed within the box. From CAMs’ point of view, the pamphlet is the most vital element, outweighing the importance of the kits themselves and the overall financial outcome of the project.
The upcoming OS/OX is in the “The Battle of Hong Kong series”. CAMs seek to recount the occurrences that transpired during the battle, refuting the slander that the Hong Kong defenders surrendered without a fight…
The pamphlet (not a full version) inside the box. .
“Private Sir Edward Des Voeux, 8Bt, a millionaire gold bullion trader, served in the Hughes Group, a special home guard unit of the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, aged 77, the oldest combatant. He is probably the most esteemed title, a baronet, and certainly the least prestigious rank, a private, who took part in the battle.” .
“At this important juncture of life and death, Sir Edward Des Voeux, 8Bt, decided to relinquish the opportunity to escape in exchange for safeguarding the gravely wounded comrades. After depleting the ammunition, Sir Edward Des Voeux, 8Bt performed a bayonet charge to push the intruders out until he was killed by shrapnel from intensive grenade launcher fire.”
“Looking at the long list of Killed & Missing in Action, we are convinced that in the defence of Hong Kong, there were countless heroes in various troops who had done their best to defend Hong Kong with selfless dedication, just like Sir Edward Des Voeux, 8Bt. Their heroic actions and the mettle they show against impossible odds are not circulating because there was no survivor in their troops who could tell us their no less gallant deeds.”
