Italeri has released the CANT Z.1007bis Alcione in 1:72 scale
Yippee!? I had a lot of fun with Supermodel models back in the day and I’m still buying them to build.
This old kit is long as the tooth like any of them. Here’s a review I made a long time ago. The link does not go immediately to the review, but to somebody that posted complaining about my review. He includes the link to the actual review. I remember I was originally irritated by the guy’s comment, but good old Steffen Arntt - rest his soul - had an awesome reply to the guy.
Fred, I think it’s about time we got a new tool of this aircraft, I will however take a look at one as I do remember building several of the old Supermodel kits.
Concur! I have a soft spot for Italian air, sea, and land subjects.
A welcome release, but yes we really did need a new tool.
Disappointed that Italeri haven’t at least given a new sprue with a decent cockpit and new engine cowlings. Similar to something they did with their old Ju88. At least we have the single and twin rudder variants in the one box this time.
Will be grabbing one once it hits the shelves. Have an old Supermodel issue but the decals are long past their best!
