I can certainly cover the engine block with grime, but I don’t think they generally left the rest of the vehicle coated in mud and clay from top to bottom. So, I can’t hide it too much.
I appreciate the responses. I’m going to see if the Krylon version is in town and if not I guess I’ll proceed with Amazon even though Jeff is never going to let me on his spaceship.
My response was more to Hans - Hermann’s original question. But what project are you working on? Some of these other colors may work.
I used Rustoleum’s Golden Sunset to paint two aircraft tugs at a museum, and I think the color comes pretty close.
I made that treadplate panel by the way,
I have the AMT bulldozer kit so I needed to find a close match for the whole vehicle.
Which I could do metalwork like that but my dad was into fiberglass. He was a surfboard shaper in the 60s-80s.

Also stopped by Ace. Marigold and Harvest Peach appear to capture that darker shade nicely.
I just used some of that rustoleum this week on a 28mm forklift. They make a couple of other yellows also.
