Re the markings choice, surely they are all from 4RTR, presumably “D” Squadron? Time period 1960’s. The Cent is a Mk5/1.
What I mean is it is not clear to someone without back ground knowledge. If specific information had been included with the finishing options then detail is precise.
Technically it should have the extra glacis armour for a mk5/1
Just going by the “Chinese Eye” I’d say yes.
At any rate, Niederneuendorfer Allee is indeed in Berlin. It borders the Spandauer Forest in the British Sector.
The tanks are all those from the 4th RTR squadron (comapny) stationed in Berlin in 1961; just remember the Wall went up in August and all Allied units were on high alert. This was a fraught time folks! In October the same year the Soviets had detonated the most powerful thermonuclear device ever.
