Right I understand now, I think it was a Comms misunderstanding
Building a normal gun tank makes sense as trying to scratch build the TES equipment will be a PIA to be honest. There isnt a lot of it, but to get it looking even close to the real thing will be hard.
Ref Megatron. This is TES (Theatre Entry Standard) level vehicle, used for demos in this form, but this would/could be how Cr2 would be deployed in a real time war deployment.
Thats a TES in Iraq
Megatron is a Cr2 which is held by ATDU at Bovington as a test bed so you can see it with barracuda or without it just depends what they are doing with it - The actual tank is also swapped out at different time periods so will see different VRNs from time to time. You can see it with lots of different add on’s and configurations, depending on what they are doing at a particular time.

Not gonna lie, these TES pictures do look very interesting, with these desert color parts and camouflage am tempted to create something simillar.

If you decide to do that one, the RFM Megatron kit has everything you need

Let’s see that’s the hard part, to decide. Saw some pics with a partial top camouflage, maybe can try something like that. Don’t wanna hide all the details.

Finally decided on the Batus/salisbury exercise scheme. Saw some good images on the internet would be interesting to try it put
Btw, strange RFM decided to put these markings here, right on top of the torrent near the main gun

Could it be that that part of the turret is a casting and these are casting data commonly seen on them ?

Yeah they are on them there as manufacturers marks.
make sure you use the correct decals for BATUS vehicles or the slightly different UK OPFOR markings.

So these are basically turret manufacturers marks. I see thanks..
Regarding the decals I think the ones in RFM kit are mainly referred to the Salisbury plain exercise.

The decals are for BATUS mate👍

Theres a BATUS and SPTA version included in the kit … BATUS version is just plain sand colour, SPTA is the Cam version

@Johnnych01 hi, this reflective optical coating is only placed for the drivers sight and the commander’s periscope (the 360 degree 8 piece vision ports) right?
not for the targetting system or commanders cupola etc. (maybe there but not as highly reflective as the above 2. (so is not seen distinctively)

Correct. The commanders cupola vision blocks and drivers sight have a reflective coat on them. The commanders sight unit and gunners can be flat black with a coat of x-22 clear or x19 smoke over them and the TISH (if open) can be x18 semi gloss black.
