"Closed" smoke grenades on Magachs and Shotkals

Can someone help me with more reference photos (close-ups) and information on how the cover works?
It appears to be some sort of zipper enclosure?? It’s hard to tell from the photos I have…
I am thinking about CADding them for 3D printing. TIA.

You’re welcome. These pics (except the top one) were taken by Victor Krestinin at the Latrun Armor Museum, Israel.

Here’s another one

EDIT : looking at them closer, I guess that one of the pictured canvas covers may not be the original one as the snap buttons don’t seem to match…

Typical of museum pieces. You need the old Concord books.

If you were to print those for commercial sales I’d be interested in a few pairs… I’ve been using thin masking tape to make the covers, but the whole thing, with cover, would be cool.

In these Sho’t Kal views, you can notice the zipper. I guess the cover can be opened without the need to unsnap it…

Take in mind that there is no left or right cover, it is the same for both sides of the tank. The cover opens from right to left (of the tank) and folds on the left side of the launcher box.

On a side note, I guess I was wrong about the cover not being the original one. As far as I can tell when the flap is unzipped properly, snap buttons “A” should in fact snap on buttons “B”
