Colorized photo of an S35 Somua

I found the actual vehicle referenced in the Tamiya S35 Somua model kit (actual vehicle picture below) and was wondering if there may be a colorized version of the tank. I built mine with out the stowage bins on the side and wasn’t sure if the actual side had camo colors or just base colors.

Never mind - found a way to do it on-line… colors are a bit off but I can see the area behind stowage bins is faded… close enough.

Here are some actual color photos taken in 1940. You can get the gist of some of the colors., although they are not good solid reference for exact shades or patterns.

Thanks - I really wasn’t looking for exact colors more-so looking for info on the “underside” of the stowage boxes. It seems the camo colors/pattern was usually painted over the removable stowage bins and I was curious what was underneath… I built mine w/o the 3 large bins which may have been missing prior to battle and abandoned… at least they are on mine  Looks like I just have to alter the base color around where the bins were at one point…

If AI did the colors correctly… then Tamiya would have made a mistake with the disruptive bands and the unit mascot marking colors. Tamiya has the bands in sky grey as well as the marking. This shows a more subdued tannish color and the animal in red (?)

My old eyes detected a second green color at the base of the turret under the number 65. Also Tamiya recommends sky XF-21 for the lighter color. Other interpretations show that gray color XF-19 sky gray. Beats me. I think it is difficult to interpret black and white photographs.

Yes the pattern is Green, sky, brown with black bands separating the two main colors. I did paint mine to the Tamiya suggested scheme (except used light blue for band in anticipation of weathering). The Tamiya scheme for 56 is pictured here:
