I have just come across a couple of images of Russian tanks with ‘Z’ markings painted red.
Most show them painted white, but how common is it for other colours to be used?

Thanks for that information. So white would be the appropriate colour for regular Russian vehicles?
Paul
Yes; regular white “Z” is for regular Russian troops.
Also, you will see other markings, like the “Boxed Z”, representing forces from the Crimean Region. “X” for Chechen forces loyal to Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov.
Used during Prigozhin’s short-lived march on Moscow.
Thankyou … most helpful!
