Are those “fenders” treadway bridges?

Another gloriously exquisite model from CSM. I agree, it’s ugly, but has it’s appeal in it’s own right. It’s Marine Corps - gets the job done. I think those are unditching beams, also. Should be a great model.
About the photos - I’ve been to Philadelphia - you don’t really need an armored car there. Now Detroit, you definitely want an armored car…
