Cuban camouflage pattern (?)

Good evening Gentlemen …

I hope there are a few experts here who can help me with my rather exotic problem.

For a change, I would like to build a Cuban T-62 alongside my ‘European Cold Warriors’. However, I’m stuck when it comes to the camouflage pattern. Question(s): Which camouflage pattern is appropriate for a tank in the late 1970s or 1980s? Stationed in Cuba, not in Angola or on any other ‘expedition’. Apparently, there are two variants: ‘black/dark green/light green’ (but all the pictures in this camouflage pattern seem to be relatively new) or ‘green/sand/reddish brown’. The latter is described on the Star Decals set as ‘possible inside Angola’, but on the other hand, the other picture in this pattern seems to be clearly newer, definitely not from the 70s, I would say.

Thanks in advance for any tips & best regards from Switzerland!

Roger

There seems to be some decal silvering on the turrets markings

Well, Cuban tanks in green. That is, of course, exactly what I want to prevent…

The marking portraits a Mambi a cavalry fighter on the independence war against Spain, Cuban cavalry was known for their tactical abilities based on the knowledge of the terrain and would encircle Spaniards and made them feel surrounded even when there was only a few Cuban fighters. I wish I could see the decal close, I play War Thunder and would suggest it to the developers to create a Cuban decal for the game.

You mean this one, I suppose ?

Interesting detail, thanks !
Could you possibly answer my initial answer (about the camo schemes) as well ?

The most accurate color scheme/camo was probably the pictures on Frenchy’s response. dark green, no white lines. Most of the other patterns appeared as the consequence of the war in Angola.
