DAK Field Workshop N.2

Just like I promised, I also finished the second half of this story of field workshop.

So I’m posting a lot of photos without further comments that I leave to the protagonists of the scene that develops in the logistical base of El Dabah, quite a bit behind from El Alamein … but not far enough, it seems!

Now let’s hear what they say in simultaneous translation from German:

well… That’s exactly what happened, Jerriy jumped on board the motorbike and the crane-truck and ran away because ‘soldier who runs away, good for another time’
When the Brits arrived and wanted to recover the anti-tank piece, they had to use an 88 mm gun as a crane…

Very nice looking dio, that last picture would also make a great dio, would really fit very well together…

Agreed. Nice choice of an unusual subject. I’d also love to see someone do that last photo as a diorama!

I think you have done well with this scene…one suggestion is to ensure that vehicles leave tyre tracks in the sand, usually achieved by rolling or pressing same into the diorama base, otherwise they can appear to having been dropped into place. Your painting and detailing is well done. Great stuff.
