Does anyone know the diameter of the barrels of the Leopard 2A6 DARKAS gunfire simulator, as shown in the accompanying photo? I need to scratch-build this in 1/72 scale. If I have the measurement (either 1:1 or 1/35-scale), I can convert this to my scale.

Good luck on that, I asked the same question about Simfire a few years back.
Even got the Manual from Bovy, which gave me the different colours available, but nada about the barrel diameter.

Isn’t this a German version of the Hoffman Tank Gunfire Simulator Device? And it uses the same ammunition as the US Hoffman Simulators?

That makes sense. The sim cartridge is 50 mm in diameter. Since it does not fire a projectile, the tube diameter can be larger (and should be) to facilitate loading and unloading.
