Is there interest in a small decal sheet to model the retro marked M1s from the Strong Europe Tank Challenge 2018?
Two tank options would be provided but only one tank can be modeled (they looked the same).
I would be interested. They look good.
For those that don’t know AOA is a well known aircraft decal manufacturer. I have a few of his sheets and plan on getting more. I don’t build many Army Hogs but I think I would get a set.
Steve, do you have any plans for more 1/35 or 1/16 armor?
Sounds great, take my Money!
This one would’ve acted as a “feeler” first for viability of 1/35 decals. Although AOA decals primary focus is a/c I actually have much more 1/35 military kits in my stash than flying things. I’ve contemplated for some time to make 1/35 vehicle decals, initially planned years ago doing squadron specific decals for 1/35 M151 and truck decals to go along with my Vietnam 1/32 aircraft. Talking about subjects like VMA-311 or VAL-4 squadron marked M151s that were used in Vietnam for example. Those got shelved but my other potential 1/35 subjects would be only modern US (OIF/OEF to present).
I would the love a 311 M151 set. I am seeing a Marine Da Nang vehicle set similar to your MEU set or like the F-4B. Do like the idea of modern Marine armor decals. Yeah I have a niche I like to throw money at.
Ya I would have them all on one sheet since they’d be so few and so small. While gathering photos for the various Vietnam USMC A-4, F-4, and A-6 sheets, and also USN VAL-4 Broncos, I ended up getting quite a few pics that also showed their vehicles, mostly M151s, but some USN trucks too, but usually it was only a single pic for each and I couldn’t always see the numbers or those type of smaller details or really any other views (only can see the rear for example). Off the top of my head I definitely remember having VMA-AW-242 and VMA-311 ones with their logos on the spare tire covers on the back of the M151, and same painted on CO/XO markings on others. It had been years since I talked myself out of the idea but I may go through what I have again and see if there’s enough, problem is though it wouldn’t be anywhere near as complete.
I don’t know of too many sheets that cover the subject especially in the Nam/Nam era. So I think it can be very popular.
This was mentioned as in Iwakini from the Skyhawk Association.
The Abrams sheet came in yesterday from MicroScale and are now available to order/ship.
Price is only $6.50 shipped US or $7.50 for international addresses and also with NO added shipping costs as these (tiny) decals will be mailed simply via letter vs rigid parcel.
Simply select from the drop menu depending on your location (US or not).
