Hello everyone, even though these are advertised as US Marines, can they stand in for Army soldiers in Desert Storm. I do not know if the body armor was different?
Thank you in advance.

No; these won’t work. They’re wearing Interceptor IBAS.
Try these…
1st Infantry DIvision “Big Red One” - 3015
101st Air Assault Division “Screaming Eagles” - 3011
No, they are Iraq figures since they have Interceptor Body Armor (IBA) vests on. They will work as Army soldiers in Iraq or A’stan though.
You want just about any other Dragon U.S. Modern figure sets w/a low 3000 number. They are pretty much all ODS-era figures.
Some options.
Lastly, there is this set which is their older U.S. Rangers set, but w/PASGT vests and Kevlar helmets added.
US Rangers set.
Damn, GIno. You’re quick on the draw… By the time i found two decent images, you have the whole compliment.
the Big Red One set will work excellently, since they’re in MOPP-3 posture; one of them is even wearing the Unobtanium “Night Desert Parka”, which was very populart back then. i remember having one with the matching M-65 Field jacket liner back in the 90s when i was in active duty.
The Scout Team motorcycles were Kawasaki KLR650 motorbikes, modified to run on diesel.
Thank you everyone, can the Dragon US Tank crew work as Bradley crewmen also? The Operation Desert Storm pack of figures, are they decent molds? I have run into some of Dragon figures which are almost like a blob of plastic, especially their older figures.
Thank you.
The tank crew kit would work on a Bradley, but you’ll have to mod the drive figure to sit in the driver’s station. The soldier with the Grease Gun, you could mod the hand to fit an M16A2 or the M231 FPW off the Bradley.
Otherwise, yeah; they will work.
As Reynier says, yes, they will work fine on a Bradley. They can actually be used on any armored vehicle, i.e.: M270 MLRS, M113, USMC LAV, USMC LVTP7, etc., etc…
The Dragon figures are pretty good. They are molded pretty well, not as good as resin figures, but not old Tamiya either. I like them since you can swap parts to get different poses pretty easily.
