SOL announced new sets to detail up the Sd.Kfz.7 and M113 from Nam.
Not my cup of tea, but the anti-RPG screen looks great.
I think there are some shortcuts designers used for these items. Notice the weird looking identical potato sacks stacked one on the top of the other on the Sd.Kfz.? Also, the large concertina wire looks like the loops were just duplicated.
Mario
Sure could have used those M60s with shields on my recent Tamiya ACAV project, as the Eduard PE was a struggle.
But the netting for the rolled up RPG screen looks a little out of scale and the wire rolls look a bit too solid. PE still has the edge there, IMHO.
I am sorry, but I see these items as lacking variety and thought toward realism. That tyre is not going to stay there, and those potatoes in the sacks would be over the side at the first turn taken… and this is not a field kitchen related vehicle, so why have so many potatoes?
The parade drill line up of jerry cans also looks fake. Too much space around them for them to stay like that unless they were roped in place - they would vibrate all over the place in real life.
You don´t need to buy it.
The rolled concertina wire looks very useful as I have seen many photos of M113s carrying it.
Yes, for sure. However, if the manufacturer reads the post, they make take on the honest feedback and improve their offerings to make them more credible and therefore desirable. There are a lot of 3D printers out there that do take on what people say.
