When the IDF was about to run out of spare rubber tracks for its half-tracks, converting them to an all-wheel configuration was briefly considered. At least one prototype was built before the idea was dropped.
Instead the IDF decided to start manufacturing the old Goodyear steel reenforced rubber band tracks themselves which proved to be a boon to all the military vehicle restorers the world over.
However this vehicle WOULD make for a nice model! I had seen drawings of such a truck but never a photo. Very Nice.
