DML/Dragon BMP-1 # of track links?

Does anyone know the number of track links, per side, used on the old 1/35 scale BMP-1 from DML/Dragon?

Looks like 80 links in the kit https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/3/0/3/622303-32-instructions.pdf
So 40 per side ?

I’m thinking that too, that it should half of what is in the kit for one side. But sometimes a few extra are included and i wanted to make sure.

True, it really comes down to as many as it takes. One option would be to mount road wheels, sprockets, & idlers and allow them to set then after cementing links together with a slow setting glue wrap them around the running gear. You can use the side skirts to your advantage as well to hide any gap that is less than 1 full link.
