Trying my hand at building a Do-17Z and am wanting to do a Battle of Britain version. My question is would they have carried the large bomb bay fuel tank? My kit gives the option of two bomb rack plus the fuel or four bomb racks.
Are you are building a known Do-17 Z and know it’s base of operations during the Battle of Britain? It’s range was just over 700 miles so you can do the math to know if your version could make it to England and back. If you still have doubts, build the version with both tanks and bombs.
Sorry for the late response. No, I hadn’t thought of that. A bit of research into the markings might help answer that question. Thanks. I do think the addition of the fuel tank adds visual interest to the model.
