I went back to working on this one over this past weekend. I had picked up a pedestal machine gun mount for the cargo bed last week, and modified the stowage to allow everything to fit. I also painted up the main block of the Value Gear stowage and other stowage in their base colors.

I have also started work on a .30 cal. Browning M1919 from my spares collection for the pedestal mount.
More to come soon.

I believe that was in response to a suggestion of Zvezda kits…

I’m sure that they are. But, the old ones are what I have in my stash… not to mention getting ahold of Zvezda kits is a task in itself nowadays

Don’t forget these two ex-Skybow kits…
Both are still easily available…

Yes they are. But again, I am content with the Peerless and Testors/Italeri kits of the WC family already in my stash.

This afternoon I finished up the markings. Most of the kit decals gave me problems so I used a lot of stuff from my spares supply, but even some of those gave me age related issues. I made the bumper codes from my old first line unit, 5th Infantry Division, 10th Infantry Regiment, which fought as part of Patton’s 3rd Army from the Normandy Breakout, across France, into the Bulge, across the Rhine (Patton snuck them across the Rhine ahead of Monty’s big crossing) and finally ending up in Czechoslovakia on VE Day.
Anyways, here is how it looks at this point

I also used some data plate/placard decals from my spares bin on the dash to give some more accurate look there.

Now I can start the final stages of getting this one wrapped up.

As of this evening, I’m calling this one finished. At least the truck is done.

I still have a couple of figures to add, but this Dodge is done! I’ll get the usual assortment of photos of in the next few days…

Excellent job Stik. The extra gear looks very realistic, love the dusty appearance.

That’s a pretty good result from such an old kit! Well done!

I like to weather my vehicles and even take pictures of my car after a birding trek on muddy or dusty section roads. The left front view shows a lot of mud on the front of the spare tire, just behind the fender. Seems odd to me that the front would get mud/dust and not the back which is less protected from splashes by the fender. Am I missing something?

Thanks guys! Not bad for an old kit at all.
@DAKjunkie, I based the mud up front off some of my memories of patrolling in wheeled vehicles and personal experiences off roading in 4x’s that I’ve owned. Sometimes if you hit a stream or puddle just right, you get that big splash up front and less on the rear…
So I am calling this one done, aside from the crew figures. The kit itself was built OOB, although I did add a Combat Series brass machine gun pintle mount and took an Academy M1919 Browning .30 cal. from my spares bin for the gun itself. Most of the stowage is Value Gear, aside from the jerry cans, which are a mix of Tamiya, Academy, and 3D printed. Base paint is AK Real Colors. Most of the kit decals self destructed due to age, so replacements came from my spares…

If you’ve experienced it, that’s good enough for me. Thanks for the reply.
