No. Not in any way whatsoever. The only thing they have in common is the subject.
The instructions and parts for the Zvezda kits are very different compared to Italeris re-pops of the Max/Perless-Max kits.

This kit is not a re - pop. It is all new and of the latest technology and engineering. The molding is super clean and detailed. The fit is exceptional. Renting the molds to Academy is a shrewd business move.

I wish they would do this with their new WC-54 ambulance. I cant find it any where due to the import bans

Go to EBay. Look up Hobby-4-You. They’re a little shop in Estonia. They carry all the new Zvezda stuff. Shipping is very inexpensive and they are very reliable. I’ve used them many times to get new Zvezda stuff.

Whether you buy it from iModelist, another store outside of Russia, or an Academy re-box if they ever release it, you are supporting the Russian economy no matter what since the kit is made in Russia.
