Hello
I’ve just started assembling the Zvezda Dodge WC 54
The model is very well detailed and surpasses the venerable Italeri
Little review :
The jerrycan will be set aside, the markings are embossed, not raised.

following this one!
But a Russian driver? Did not expect that.
Two reasons. 1, Zvezda is a Russian company, and 2, the actual trucks were sent to Russia under Lend/Lease and used by them throughout the war.
The Dodge WC 54 kit contains sprues from Dodge wc 51 by the same manufacturer, which explains the presence of Russian driver Figure
the trucks were sent to Russia under Lend/Lease was Jeep, dodge wc 51, studebaker and Ford GPA I coultn’t find Dodge wc 54
French article : https://fr.gw2ru.com/histoire/201000-vehicules-occidentales-urss-front
@HeavyArty I had no idea the Russians used them too. Never seen any imgaes of that, so…
@Butcher_Of_Corsica hm, yeah that makes sense
“The Dodge WC 54 kit contains sprues from Dodge wc 51 …”
Well, that seems like a good reason too. ![]()
Looks like a very nice kit, show us some pics when you get a chance.
Following with interest! ![]()
Got one a couple months ago. Very nice kit. Instructions are quite busy and there are parts from earlier releases so be careful when assembling the chassis. Ask me how I know ![]()
The WC54 doesn’t appear in the Lend-Lease charts
I guess the “4x4, ambulance, knocked down” is the WC64 KD variant
H.P.
Sounds like inspector No. 7 from RFM might be getting company soon. Good news is you can still sandwich it between two others, so not a complete waste.
93 and counting.
Absolutely!! I’ve starded assembling it and the kit is indeed complex, but the fit is perfect
Thank you very much for this information which confirms what I thought
Here is the beginning of the assembly, stardting with engine not all parts are cement yet to facilitate painting
Note the fine detail of exhaust system assembly, including hose clamps shown
Frame is three parts like We also find another chassis from the Dodge WC 51 which will join the spare parts
once the various side panel pieces are installed, assembly onto the frame is straightforward. The pieces are positioned and using extra thin glue are easily glued from bach to the front
Once again, this is a very precise assembly

Very nice start, the parts look nicely detailed
Thank you !
The assembly continues whith the installation of the pedals and gearshift. It has been remade from metal rod, and i’ve added another rod behind accelator pedal
The driver’s seat is assembled note the handle for moving the seat forward or bacward Zvezda really paid attention to detail
Two of the four stretchers are assembled, the bottom one will be attached to the interior wall.
I noticed in the assembly instructions, at steps 31 and 32, that the manufacturer suggests installing a rearview mirror on the passenger door.
None of the archive photos I found show a right-side mirror

The front and rear axles are in place, as are the drive shaft
The manufacturer had the excellent idea of making it very easy to represent the front wheels in a turned position.
The ambulance walls are glued on.
The benches in the rear compartment can be displayed in either the folded or lowered position.
The four stretchers in their designated spots are a nice touch, especially if you choose the option of open rear doors.
