That’s really interesting to learn - a conspicuous visual difference that apparently doesn’t make a functional difference. Thanks for finding that.

It wouldn’t surprise me to learn that the two wings (they are different, not the elevons) have dimensional differences beyond the gap.

Also, this is from a later Improved HAWK manual. One of the “improvements” may have rendered the wing design irrelevant compared to earlier missiles.

I think it does make a difference, otherwise there is no point in requiring
“they must be complete sets”
There is an aerodynamic difference which might not affect the
flight control system as long as both sides have the same wings.
