Apparently, that is what Zimi is calling the subset of Dragon models they bought and will market; a contraction of Dragon and ziMi = DraMi.

Will Zimi reuse the Dragon instructions?

Lets hope that DraMi is not becoming a Drama!

A quick internet search reveals that Drami is hardly used for anything. That makes it a good brand name. Even better, it is only 5 letters and easy to remember.

Dragon produced a lot of good and great models. If Drami can bring back those models at competitive prices, I will buy them. If the people at Zimi Model can clean up the instructions and add some corrections, even better.

Instead of making fun of the name, we should be making a list of Dragon models we want Drami to release. We should be suggesting corrections. Help the people at Zimi Model help us.

Absolutely fix the instructions. Many, many DML “Smart Kits” are extremely well done and for the most part, quite accurate. They stack up quite well even against the latest wonders to come from the PRC. Their lines of Pz.Kpfw.IIIs, IVs, Panther, Tigers I and II are very sound kits. Since I have so many DML kits in my stash from my days as a product reviewer, I have no “dog in this race”. Perhaps those who have been warned off by some negative comments regarding the brand, might be willing to give them a try once the dust settles.

A third of my armor stash is Dragon so I likewise am already covered in most respects. At this point anything I bought would be because I wanted to build a different camo scheme of a particular variant, like another Stug III G.

I’m interested to see which kits Zimi (DraMi) decides to release. I’d like to see them release some of the Dragon Sd. Kfz. 252 and 253 kits and not charge the outrageous prices they are currently going for.

Dragon’s Sd.Kfz.234 series still quite good as well.
Also for some prototypes (e.g. Marder II Pak 40, Marder III H) we don’t have a better 1/35 alternative than (alas, overpriced) Dragon sets.

You are right the quick flip through seems to cover most of the Dragon 1/35 range. Now the question is will they do a Tristar/Hobby Boss and sell them at a discounted price (I hope), or will they continue the silly Dragon pricing strategy

It seems that Drami will be cheaper than Dragon, some items are up on Hobbyeasy, and the prices are significantly lower than Dragon originals. So far the choice is OK, I hope more are coming.

The same for the ForeArt Dragon repops. The MIM-23 HAWK is going for $15 plus shipping. Mine is on the way.

And I’ve got about 200 Dragon models that I paid Dragon prices for…sigh…
